ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz and Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz Sharif have said that opposition talks are underway with the PML-Q. Chaudhry will support the opposition due to public pressure.
According to private TV, in an exclusive interview, Maryam and Hamza said that the opposition was holding talks with the ruling coalition PML-Q and due to public pressure, Chaudhry of Gujarat would support it (opposition).
Asked whether the PML-N leadership has refused to make Chaudhry Pervez Elahi Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz said that no such decision has been taken yet. Hamza said that the opposition is in touch with the PML-Q after the success of the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan, the next target of the opposition in Punjab.
