A new lockdown has been imposed in the Netherlands from today due to the rapid spread of the new variant of the coronavirus, Omi Cron.
During the newly imposed lockdown, all non-essential shops, bars, restaurants, and gyms will be closed except for essential food stores.
Similarly, people will not be able to invite more than 2 guests in their homes and more than 4 people on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
The restrictions will continue until January 14 next year, while schools and all extracurricular activities will be closed until January 9.
At the same time, the Netherlands has imposed new travel restrictions, requiring all people entering the country to undergo a PCR test, whether they have been vaccinated or not.
