Peshawar – The mayor of Peshawar, the most important seat in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa local body elections, has been accused of selling tickets.
According to private TV ARY News, Arbab Muhammad Ali, nephew of Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Arbab Shehzad, has alleged that Governor Shah Farman took Rs 50 million and Kamran Bangash Rs 20 million for the ticket of Mayor of Peshawar. This proves that the governor has hurt the confidence of the prime minister. This should be investigated.
It may be recalled that the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam candidate had won the Peshawar mayoral seat in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa local body elections by a huge margin. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) candidate Zubair Khan won the Peshawar mayoral seat with 62,388 votes while PTI candidate Rizwan Khan got 50,659 votes.
