Local body elections 14 presiding officers missing from Peshawar

PESHAWAR – Polling for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) local body elections was completed at 5 pm last evening, but the results could not be ascertained while 14 presiding officers from Peshawar are also missing.

The issue of missing presiding officers from Peshawar was raised by the PPP in the Election Commission. The PPP Election Cell wrote a letter to the concerned Chief Election Commissioner asking why 14 presiding officers have not reached the RO office yet. Where these missing officers have gone, the election results not being compiled till the next day is a question mark

The PPP demanded an inquiry into the extraordinary delay in compiling the results of the Peshawar mayoral election. Faisal Karim Kundi said that where did the 14 presiding officers go? Take notice of Election Commission
