Indian police arrest well-known Kashmiri leader Ahsan Onto

Srinagar – Indian police in occupied Jammu and Kashmir have arrested Muhammad Ahsan Onto, a prominent human rights activist and chairman of the International Forum for Justice and Human Rights, from Srinagar.

According to Kashmir Media Service, police arrested Mohammad Ahsan Onto on baseless charges of spreading false propaganda, spreading false information, and making hate speeches through social networking sites. A police spokesman said in a statement issued in Srinagar that Muhammad Ahsan Onto had an active co-program on Twitter entitled “Radio Resistance Kashmir” led by two prominent Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders Muzammil Ayub Thakur and Dr. Asif Dar and Muzammil Ayub Thakur. And Dr. Asif Dar, who is accused in several cases with Ahsan Anto, is spreading hatred against India on social media platforms. Police have registered a case against Ahsan Anto and arrested him.

On the other hand, Hurriyat leader Abdul Hameed Lone condemned the arrest of Ahsan Anto and said that the arrest of human rights activists is a clear violation of freedom of expression and is tantamount to retaliation. The fascist government arrested, India is targeting human rights activists and journalists under military warfare and colonial policy, the Indian government has imposed restrictions on media to cover up its atrocities, before the Indian government Has registered cases against Asif Dar and Muzammil Ayub Thakur in Srinagar for highlighting the worrisome situation in Occupied Kashmir on social media.
