ANKARA – A plot to assassinate Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been foiled, a bomb planted in Tayyip Erdogan’s security vehicle and a remote-controlled bomb attached to a police van have been foiled. But police on duty defused the bomb device before it could be activated.
According to Turkish media, an attack was planned on the Turkish President during his visit to Sirat province, but Turkish police foiled the plot to attack Tayyip Erdogan.

The bomber struck shortly afternoon in front of a rally in the Turkish city of Siti. A car bomb had exploded at the Iraqi police recruiting center at Kisak, west of Baghdad. Deployed police officers defused the bomb device before it was activated
