US – Pakistani-American businessman Zia Chishti has been charged by his former partner with serious allegations of sexual harassment and violence. According to a report published in the BBC, 27 Tata New Spotswood, a year old, has accused Zia Chishti of sexual harassment and violence during a visit to Brazil in 2017 before the US House Judiciary Committee.

A statement from Zia Chishti’s company said that he had resigned as chairman, chief executive officer, and director, but denied the allegations against him. Following the allegations, the company’s investors have expressed deep concern. The Swiss company GAM also demanded an impartial inquiry into the allegations.

In an 8-minute video released by the House Congress Committee, Tatiana Spotswood states that she was 13 years old when she met Zia Chishti. In 2016, Zia Chishti offered her a job in Affinity and hugged her for 18 months. He was pressured to have sex and when he refused, he was humiliated in front of other staff. It should be noted that Zia Chishti was born in 1971 in the US state of Maine.

After the death of his father, his mother took him back to Pakistan. After completing his primary education in Lahore, Zia Chishti pursued higher studies at Columbia University and Stanford University in the United States. He founded a device manufacturing company which in a short time was worth more than one billion dollars. He also founded a well-known Pakistani company The Resource Group.

Founded Affinity Company in 2005, which specializes in artificial intelligence. Zia Chishti was also included in the list of ‘Top 50 Bachelors’ by the American lifestyle magazine People’s Magazine in 2001. Zia Chishti has also visited Pakistan with top officials of his company. He was awarded Sitara-e-Amitaz by the then-President Mamnoon Hussain three years ago in March for his valuable services in the field of IT.
