There are many farmers in Bihar’s Chhapra, who are highly skilled in farming and gardening, often using their own innovative ideas. Narendra Singh, a local farmer of Ami village under the Saran district, is particularly talented in cultivating trees, plants, herbs, and flowers.
His garden boasts numerous valuable herbs, fruit-bearing plants, and ornamental flowers. Remarkably, he has planted more than a thousand varieties of flowers.
Among the many unique plants he nurtures are garam masala and cherry plants. Speaking to Local18, he shared that just two leaves of this garam masala plant can significantly enhance the flavour of any vegetable dish.

He mentioned that he occasionally uses these herbs in his own kitchen. In addition, he has planted several Ayurvedic plants known for their medicinal value.
He further added that visitors from other districts often come to see his garden, which brings him great joy. He has also cultivated a range of fruit, vegetable, and Ayurvedic plants that are considered quite valuable. He believes that if farmers grow such plants on a larger scale, they can create a profitable source of income.
