ISLAMABAD - Former Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan for Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari has won the first round of defamation suit against Imran Khan's second ex-wife Reham Khan in the London High Court. ۔ According to the national newspaper Jang, Zulfi Bukhari's defamation suit against Reham Khan was heard in the London High Court.
The case was initially heard by Justice Karen Stein and reviewed the complaints made by Zulfi Bukhari against the allegations made by Reham Khan through YouTube, Tube Broadcast, and Tweets. The allegations stem from the sale of the Rosevale Hotel. During the hearing, Justice Karen Stein did not accept Reham Khan's assessment regarding the publication but accepted Zulfi Bukhari's request.
In this regard, Reham Khan said that the issue of the sale of national assets was raised in the public interest. Zulfi Bukhari took the position that Mrs. Justin Karen Stein did not accept Reham Khan's explanation. The defamation suit began on December 6, 2019, when Reham Khan alleged in a YouTube broadcast that Zulfi Bukhari had an interest in the sale of PIA's US-owned Hotel Rose Welt and national assets. Zulfi Bukhari's lawyer Barrister Claire Overman said that Reham Khan had accused Zulfi Bukhari of being corrupt and dishonest. Therefore, a very insulting "Chase Level One" should be imposed on him while Reham Khan took the position that Zulfi Bukhari's status was not harmed and he did so in the public interest.
