PM not to attend National Security Committee meeting: Shah Mehmood Qureshi |
ISLAMABAD - An important meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security was held last day in which the Prime Minister was not present. The participants were briefed on Pak-US relations and internal security situation including Afghan affairs. In this regard, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that it was decided that Prime Minister Imran Khan would not attend the meeting as he was aware of the briefing. A meeting was held to brief the opposition members on the situation.
Talking to the media after the meeting of the National Security Committee, he said that everyone's point of view was heard in the meeting but he could not say anything about it. Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the briefing was given in a very good atmosphere and Afghanistan, Occupied Kashmir and internal security were discussed. He said that the internal security situation would be discussed in the next meeting. He said that Army Chief and DG ISI gave a briefing in the meeting
